An organisational diagnosis for a US luxury carpentry firm
A full strategic and operational diagnosis for a high-end carpentry company in Cape Cod, USA.
Overview
Capefort Custom Carpentry is a high-end, bespoke carpentry company serving high-net-worth clients in Cape Cod, United States. I was engaged to run a full organisational diagnosis: a structured read of where the business creates value, where it leaks it, and what has to change for it to scale beyond its founder.
The problem
The company paired a sophisticated market strategy and excellent craft with founder-dependent operations and informal management. The question was how to professionalise the operation so value is created, kept and protected, without losing what makes the brand premium.
What I did
I assessed the business across seven management pillars and built the analysis with established frameworks: SWOT, a BCG read of the portfolio, a sourcing-decision matrix, and a prioritised risk map (probability vs impact). From there I produced a professionalisation roadmap, a financial and cost-control toolkit, process mapping, and a Balanced Scorecard with strategic objectives and KPIs.
